Workshop - Easy
A workshop tool is a serie of smaller exercises that together create a half or full day program. When you want more details on each exercise please visit that specific tool page. We create workshops because we find it a proven combination of tools.

When to use this tool?
For any new team that is new and wants to make an insightful and fun start of working together.

How does it work?
This exercise starts with rounds of speed dates. With each new round, you choose a new partner and a new question. For about 5 minutes you will together discuss the question and write down your key insights. At the end of each round, you will stick your post-its on the flipchart.

One person will keep track of time and group energy and announce the next round. Do as many rounds as you like. You don’t have to do each question, you can take a question even multiple times.

These are the questions:

  1. What makes our team work meaningful for our company, our customers, and our colleagues?

  2. What is a concrete goal for us in 2 years (or pick 3 months or 1 year)? What do we want to achieve?

  3. What is the biggest value we can create together?

  4. What is the contribution (added value) of us as a management team to our teams? (of course only when you are an MT).

  5. What is the biggest challenge for us as a team working together?

  6. What connects us? How can we be meaningful to each other?

  7. What do this team and its goal mean for you personally?

  8. Where do you personally get the most & least energy from?

When you stop you have had multiple speed dates and have talked to most of your new team members. So in total, you as a team might just have had dozens of small conversations. For example for a team of 8 in each round, there are 4 conversations. So in 5 rounds, there have been 20 conversations!

To wrap it up look across all your notes. Group them. And write the core elements on your how we work page in Teambooster so you nicely captured how you want to work together.

What do you need to get started?
A set of post-its, pens and maybe a flipchart. You can do it virtually as well when you set up a whiteboard before. And you the breakout function of your meeting app.
